Hi there! I'm Joshuelle (jaw-shoe-elle)
I've been a Birth and Postpartum Doula for 2 very exciting years! When I'm not doula-ing I practice yoga, cook, sing and dance!
I became a doula because I grew up surrounded by women who were open and honest about their wellness. It is because of their lessons and care, that I'm a natural nurturer.
I pride myself on being versatile and creative! This is how I find unique ways to cope with pain and discomfort, and soothe fussy babies (and parents, haha).
From working in customer service and the restaurant industry for so long, I'm great at reading the room and finding ways to make you feel safe; whether that means listening and holding your hand, explaining an intervention or simply making you laugh.
I have a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario, which gave me the opportunity to study Physiology, Anatomy, Human Sexuality, Genetics and Reproduction. Instead of turning to medicine, I became a doula so that I could support new and expecting parents from conception to cradle.
